Flu Vaccines
Our Flu Vaccines start in October 2024.
This year the NHS will offer most eligible adults a flu vaccine from early October, which is slightly later than in past years. This is because the latest scientific evidence shows this is the best time for most adults to be vaccinated to give the most protection, closer to the winter months when flu circulates most.
- Pregnant women and eligible children will be invited slightly sooner, when our vaccines arrive and may have their vaccines in September.
- School-aged children will be offered the flu vaccination at school.
- The NHS will contact patients who are eligible for Covid-19 vaccinations. These will not be given at the practice.
We will contact patients who should have an NHS flu vaccine in late September to book an appointment. Please only contact us if you think you should have the flu vaccination, but have not been invited by October.

Self-test for kidney disease from home
The NHS has commissioned minuteful kidney to deliver a service providing at home urine test kits for patients at risk of chronic kidney disease. This will allow patients to conduct the test at home using a smartphone. Once the test is completed, the results are sent over to us for the clinicians to review. The eligible patients will be contacted by Minuteful Kidney and delivery of the testing kits arranged upon agreement. For more information, please click Minuteful Kidney.
Treatments for coronavirus (COVID-19)
The NHS offers treatments to people with coronavirus (COVID-19) who are at the highest risk of becoming seriously ill. Please note this is offered by the NHS and not the GP surgery. Please visit https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/self-care-and-treatments-for-coronavirus/treatments-for-coronavirus/ that will explain on how to get the treatment if you are eligible.
